Lifesharing allows individuals with intellectual disabilities to live with the support of a loving and caring family within the community.
Individuals are encouraged to build relationships with new families while maintaining strong ties to his or her own family of origin.
Services
- Design and implementation of person centered plans according to individual needs and desires
- Socialization via recreational, work, and community involvement
- Therapeutic and health care supports
Eligibility
Adults or young adults with an intellectual disability and Medicaid waiver approval.
Enrollment
All admissions referred through Intellectual disAbilities Services in Philadelphia, the Montgomery County Office of Intellectual Disabilities and Behavioral Health, or the Pennsylvania State Office of Developmental Programs.

Cost
Room and board charge is based on a review of the individual’s income including Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
